Description
The Godox RS100Bi and RS100R are location lights. That sounds obvious, but it matters: these are designed for shooting away from a power outlet, not just lights that happen to have a battery bolted on.
Output hits 28,600 lux at 1 meter with the lens reflector — more than enough to throw light across a room or compete with a window. The built-in battery lasts around 52 minutes at full power. You can charge it while shooting over USB-C PD, and a 60W+ charger gets you back to full in about two hours.
Color-wise, the RS100Bi is bicolor (2800–6500K). The RS100R adds full RGBW with HSI, gel emulation, and FX modes. Dimming is 0.0–100% in 0.1% increments, which matters when you're trying to match ambient or ease into a fade. The 0.0% floor is actually useful — some lights call it "off" when you need it to be barely on.
NFC tap-to-pair handles app connection fast, no hunting for devices. DMX control is there if you're running a multi-light setup through a controller (DMX-C2 adapter required). It mounts standard Godox S-Mount modifiers, so softboxes, spot attachments, and the SP36/50K projection heads all fit without adapters.
A runtime countdown on the display tells you exactly how long you've got left. Small thing, but you'll miss it when it's not there.
