    Is LCD protector needed?

Which brand is the best out there? Glass or plastic?

Better to have it lor; scratch the protector better than scratch your camera's LCD right? Although I heard before that changing the camera's LCD is actually quite cheap, but not sure.

    Glass will cracK?

Glass is normally more resistant to scratches as compared to plastic. Is there a glass lcd protector ?

Is nice to have it .. trust me
I used GSS for both my D700 and D7000

I get the version which is slightly more expensive
the one which u can "clip on" for the back LCD, it also include one for your top lcd (stick on)
    snag fit around $16 bucks

    worth every penny imo

Hi, I was about to purchase a replacement but come across the LCD screen hood. It comes together with the eye cup and a cover for the screen. This cover is suppose to protect the plastic and act as a shade. Anyone used it before?

Have you used one before? Inwas worried the cover will hinder when you want tomtake a shot. I am using the standard LCD screen protector now. It is true that under the sun, very difficult to see the screen

Ok I was also looking for a protector for my camera screen. I went to ancamera shop and the store guy explained to me. Instead of using a plastic screen protector that clip on the camera, use a GGS glass stick on type. It is like a second screen ontop of your current screen. No need for the plastic one anymore.

I thought that was cool and it is $18 only. It comes with a s
Smaller piece to protect the screen on top of your camera. Everything look very original.
