    Flat trolley dolly?

+ tripod + floor spreader + sandbags on spreader

Anyone tried such a rig? If you can get the wheels to be smooth, it should work out fine right?

Actually, it would be better to get those tripods with wheels on it; or get wheel attachments, or even a dolly attachment.

I bought a rather cheap video tripod from HK that came with wheels. Ruby used to sell wheel attachments for attaching to light-stands (which prob will work attacked to tripod legs) and CP (manfrotto) sells dolly with wheels that you can put tripods on for about S$100+ (last I bought).

The reason I know all these was cos I wanted to make my light stands in my studio moveable with wheels all over the place.

Ah, video tripods I see. Those are expensive alone even without wheels! I'm thinking that this might be a cheap way of allowing my photo tripod, manfrotto 190CX3, with a fluid head like a 701HDV or 501HDV to move. *Shrug*

I think the el-cheapo one I got in HK costs about S$150; of course lousier quality but it does have wheels :P

If budget is an issue then can try the three wheel add-on thing if Ruby still has them, I think a set of three wheels costs around S$30-40.

Ah these are the more expensive manfrotto-type dollys costing S$1XX. The cheap add on wheels set of 3 are separate and not joined; they attach to each leg of each tripod/lightstand.

Yup, its this one; but prices may have changed liao from what I see; it was a lot cheaper getting from the distributor though (which I did when I bought).
