I would think that so long as the flash trigger is hotshoe based, it should work with the Di-866? What type of flash trigger are you thinking of using with the DI866?

Di866 works well with most flash triggers on the market. Triggers can be radio or optical based. Do note that the Di866 needs to be in manual mode for triggers working without TTL capabilities.

The Di622 acts as a slave only via optical signals from a TTL flash.

Do let us know your intended setup and we'll propose the various combination suitable for your needs.

As far as we know, PHottix Tetra/ Aster/ and the new Atlas will work well with the Nissin Di866 (in manual mode). Like all other radio triggers (non-TTL), the Nissin Di622 for Canon won't work as the firmware hasn't been upgraded. Only the Di622 for Nikon will work with these radio triggers. Nissin Di866 for both Canon and Nikon will work well.

If you're using Canon, then you won't be able to use the Di622 as the slave.

If you're using Nikon, then any Phottix trigger will be compatible with the Di6622 for Nikon.

Is there any other brand of flash trigger that can use for nissin di622 for canon

I think only Triggers with TTL capabilities such as Pocket Wizard miniTT1 and flexTT5 will work. Those cost a bomb and are not necessarily very reliable.

Hi! Just to confirm, I can use my Canon 550D pop-up flash to trigger the Di866 optically?

The Nissin Service Center is at Bendemeer.

The address and details can be found here --> Nissin Service Center

You can also bring it to Red Dot Photo for them to bring it to the Service Center etc.
