[Life List Chase] Sri Lanka Wildlife Photo Safari
We just returned from Sri Lanka 3 weeks ago! Sri Lanka wildlife safari is really amazing, like a mini Africa Safari! Lots of actions and happenings at every turn of the corer. With the great effort by the Department of Conservation, this place is preserved as a wildlife heaven and a great shooting opportunity for beginners to experienced photographers!
Check out a video of us being surrounded by a herd of elephants http://on.fb.me/srilanka-ele
Just some shots to share, more to come!

Changeable Hawk Eagle
Was in the vehicle passing by when i notice something huge, on my right at my eye level. The eagle was so close to me that i have to back away with my 500mm to fit it into the frame. This is a juvenile which may explain why it was so close to the ground and not easily spooked.

Little Green Bee-eater
These bee-eaters seems to be really active and curious, several time just flying in front or beside our vehicle, near the ground.

Alexandrine Parakeet
A flock of them were fighting on the same tree for territory before the thunderstorm came. Guess what, this parakeet species is named after Alexander the Great!

Indian Palm Squirrel
Also known as the 3 stripe squirrel due to the mix of dark and white stripes on its back.

Hanuman Langurs leaping into the air, from tree to tree.

White-throated Kingfisher

Buffalo skull

Toque Macaque Mother-Child Pair

Indian Pitta
