How did you shoot the bird in flight shot?

We were in a boat and this collared kingfisher was taking a dip in the water. Having noticed it's 1st dip, we prepared ourselves to capture its flight. This image here is a composite of 10 burst shots of the same scene shot with a Nikon D3S which has a frame rate of 11 Frames per second.
