Sony did a press release on their newest product the Nex 3&5. There have been rumors going on before Nex was launch in Singapore. The launch confirms the sale of Nex in Singapore. The nex3 comes in 3 colors, red, black, silver. While the Nex 5 comes in black and silver only.







During the Press Release, there was mention of another new product innovation created by Sony which is the E mount interchangeable lens camcorder.



The new Nex3&5 was introduced with more in depth details.

The new Nex features:
E-mount w/ E-mount lens
Alpha lenses can be mounted on with an adapter.
Panorama & 3D Panorama( available through the firmware upgrade)
14.2Megapixels
JPEG and RAW for format for photos
AVCHD, MP4 recording format
1920x1080 resolution for video.
Supports Memory Stick and SD cards
3.0" wide type TFT, Xtra Fine LCD with TruBlack technology
Battery Performance of Up to Approx.330 images
The smallest and lightest camera in the world (117.2 x 62.6 x 33.4 mm and Approx. 239ｇ )







The guests had a hands on the Nex 3 and Nex 5. Many were surprised by the performance of the Nex.
There were also features like Panorama and 3D panorama which will be made available by a firmware update in mid-july. The fast FPS of 7 frames per second, the use of Memory stick or SD cards is possible as it supports both. The famous live view was also feature in the Nex, and the Full HD 1920x1080 movie recording in AVCHD format in Nex 5 and HD videos in MP4 format in Nex 3 makes the camera all the more tempting for consumers to buy it. The simplified control layout makes it easier for first time users to use; the design of the camera makes it easier to hold using one hand. The Nex is consider the lightest and smallest in the world right now comparing it to compact cameras. The Nex is not more than Approx. 239g(Weight calculated without battery and Memory Stick inserted).



Sony Nex 3 & 5 will be out on 10 June 2010.
