Power rating for Digicabi 30L or AD50L up to DHC100L is only 5W

The cost of usage per month based on the tariff rate of 23.56 cents/kWh (wef 1 Apr 2010) (Rates are not inclusive of GST) 4.6kWh/mth
    = $0.84

Sounds like a negligible amount. The cost of sending a fungus infected lens is ~S$50 to a few hundred.

Yup it is; the costs of a dry cabinet is really negligible and gives you peace of mind for your expensive equipment. Unless you own only a single compact camera, a dry cabinet is usually more cost effective than sillca gel.

didn't know the amount we paid per month is quite negligible... buying dry cabinet is more effective as silica gel as we need no monitor or change the gel yeah~

Yup, the costs of having to clean your lens if you somehow forget to change ur gel is much more than the electricity consumed.

I'll recommend most people to go for a dry cabinet. If you have say only ONE compact, maybe u can go for the sillca gel option; but anyone else should go for a dry cabinet.
