Nikon To Announce Mirrorless System on 21st September?
According to NikonRumors.com, Nikon is launching their new system of mirrorless interchangeable cameras this Wednesday, 21st September 2011.

Images from NikonRumors.com.
Rumoured specs include:
- Phase and Contrast AF
- 10.1 Megapixels
- ISO 100-3200 (with H1-6400)
- CCD Sensor
- 2.7x Crop Factor
- 3" LCD Screen
- No traditional hotshoe mount for flash
- EXPEED 3 Image Processor
- HD Video
- 400fps VGA Video
As with all rumours, this should be taken with a healthy pinch of salt. Given NikonRumors.com's extensive coverage of this rumoured camera though, this Wednesday should be an interesting one.

Nikon mirrorless camera system
Having such a small cropped sensor is really of no use for a mirrorless body. I wonder how much bigger this Nikon J1 or V1 is compared to a prosumer compact Nikon body like the P7000.
The launch is on Wednesday? I think any mirrorless Nikon body other than an APSC sensor is going to be a failure.

I hope it can support existing lenses and with 2.7x, 200mm would become 540mm, making it suitable for maybe moon shots !
