The Canon PhotoMarathon is back!

The 9th Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore will be held on 10 September 2011 from 0700hrs to 1930hrs. It will begin at Suntec City Convention Hall 401.

The 'Best of Show' winner stands to win an 8-day photo clinic to Tasmania, Australia worth S$8000! More prizes to be announced as the PhotoMarathon draws nearer.

To guarantee a slot in the PhotoMarathon, participants are advised to register online prior to the event.

Singapore will be holding its 9th Canon PhotoMarathon this September 10th, 2011.

Benjamin Poon Benjamin, the Managing Editor of Regent Media oversees a team of dedicated editors and passionate writers for titles such as Golf Asia Magazine, Wheels Asia Magazine, and Football Weekly World CUP / EPL Guide.

Prior to his employment at Regent Media, Benjamin was one of the first few Singaporeans to be accredited by the Formula One governing body, the FIA, to photograph many of its races around the globe. And his passion for photography still shows, as he makes sure to take his camera along whenever he travels. He continues to contribute his pictures for publication in his stable of magazines.

Francis Lee

Francis Lee, Photography-Trainer endorsed by The National Arts Council & People's Association has more than 14 years of experience in teaching photography. He had also worked as a photographer in Singapore Press Holdings shooting for publications such as Streats etc.

Coming from an Engineering background, Francis understands the importance of mechanics to precise timing while photography directs him to the fine art of executing the Decisive moment. Having spent 7 years with the media and being exposed to the constantly I-want-it-now demands from hectic and sometimes impossible situations, further fine-tuned him to becoming a precise photographer. He frequently conducts workshops and has collaborated with many major organisations' visual-aid department and his work is well recognized and received.

Tim Chung

Tim is currently a senior sub-editor with Reuters's Global Pictures Desk.

During his stint in Reuters, Tim has covered several major events as a photographer and editor. These include the 2005 IMF / World Bank Meetings, 2 APEC meetings in Singapore and Yokohama, the 2007 World Aquatics Championships in Melbourne, the 2009 East Asian Games in Hong Kong, The Singapore F1 since 2008, the 2010 Youth Olympics Games, 2011 Malaysian F1, general elections in Singapore and Malaysia, etc.
