A Photographic Journey with Olympus: From Travel to Surrealism

    Source: http://www.singaporetoeurope.blogspot.com/

Get tips on travel photography and learn more about surrealism photography from three photography experts at a talk jointly organised by Olympus Imaging Singapore and the National Geographic Store.

Mr Lau Kim Hang, an avid photographer with a travel photography portfolio spanning more than 20 years, will be sharing photos taken during his recent trip to the Middle East, including Syria and Jordan.

Award-winning Mr Tan Ngiap Heng will be sharing photographs of his journey last year, where he traveled for 160 days across 17 countries. Covering over 25000km by rail, bus, and ferry, his entire trip was documented using Olympus' PEN camera. Some images can be seen at his blog.

Besides travel photography, shutterbugs can also get acquainted with surrealism photography, a different and less common form of the art. Mr Chow Chee Yong, a local fine art photographer and photography lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic, will be sharing on the art form.

    Date: 18 June 2011, Saturday
    Time: 2.00pm to 4.00pm
