The race for the best mirrorless systems is heating up with the annoucement of the Panasonic Lumix G3. With the ultra fast focusing from the Lumix GH2 and a smaller form factor, the G3 is poised to wow the market! Red Dot Photo had the opportunity to have a short preview session with the Panasonic Lumix G3, which was announced only a few days ago.

The Panasonic Lumix G3 succeeds the G2, packing bigger features into a smaller body. It promises superb image quality, improved autofocus, enhanced usability, and smooth video capture.
With an easy to use touch 3.0" vari-angle LCD monitor, it is basic enough for new photographers to use and also has creative features to appease more advanced photographers. A breakdown of the G3's technical specifications can be found below:

The G3 is definitely out to compete with newer camera models such as Nikon D5100 and Canon 600D, with improved features such as the vari-angle monitor and improved image quality.
