The race for the best mirrorless systems is heating up with the annoucement of the Panasonic Lumix G3. With the ultra fast focusing from the Lumix GH2 and a smaller form factor, the G3 is poised to wow the market! With an easy to use touch 3.0" vari-angle LCD monitor, it is basic enough for new photographers to use and also has creative features to appease more advanced photographers. A breakdown of the G3's technical specifications can be found below:

    Features Panasonic Lumix G3
    Megapixels 16.0 megapixels
ISO sensitvitiy Auto/Intelligent ISO/160-6400 (Changeable to 1/3 EV step)
    Exposure compensation 1/3EV Step ±5EV
    Shutter speed 1/4000~600 and bulb
Viewfinder Live View Finder (1,440,000 dots equivalent)
LCD Monitor TFT 3.0" LCD with Touch panel

The G3 is definitely out to compete with newer camera models such as Nikon D5100 and Canon 600D, with improved features such as the vari-angle monitor and improved image quality.
