Apple Ipad 2: Anyone biting?

Wonder if it will be simultaneously launched in Singapore on March 11?

Anyone buying it?

Other than the camera, whats the difference with the ipad 1?

Hardware improvements and additions:

1. New Apple A5 dual-core processor vs A4 single core. (2x faster)

2. Ram is now 512MB vs 256MB. (not confirmed by Apple, but by Apple hardware suppliers)

3. Front facing and back facing (HD camera)

4. Thinner 8.8mm vs 13.4mm (1/3 thinner)

5. Improve graphic capabilities (9x improved)

6. Brighter display screen

7. All these additions and maintain 10 hours battery life. (same as ipad)

8. Additional 3-axis gyroscope for more interesting apps. (Allows the ipad 2 to know about its orientation in space)

9. Offers white ipad option from day 1. (If you remember, the iphone 4 has manufacturing issue to produce white iphone due to light leakage from the back and side of the white coating)

Apparently from this report, the pricing of the ipad 2 and the thin design has forced Samsung to redesign their yet to be released Galaxy tab 2.

It is interesting to read some of the comments posted by people when the ipad was first launched about how an epic failure it would become. Little did they realise that the ipad has opened a new device category.

Ipad 1 is pretty pricey already, hopefully Ipad 2 is cheaper.

Functions looks good, doesn't talk about Adobe Flash though.

Now the Ipad 2 with Facetime makes it truly a huge IPHONE!!
