    Phottix Stratos 4-in-1 Trigger compatibility

    Hi.

I'm aware that this trigger is specially suited for flashes with TTL capability hence there's different models for different camera systems.

Would like to know if the transmitter and receiver will still work (without the TTL capability) like say:
    1) I place a Canon receiver on a Nikon body or vice versa.
    2) Can I use a Nikon(as an example) Transmitter on a Nikon body to trigger a Canon receiver or vice versa?

Working with my friend very often and sharing lighting equipment but we use different systems so would like to know how things work here.

    Help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    1) Receiver doesn't have any electrical contact, hence you can definitely put receiver (canon) on a NIkon body
    2) Yes, you can. A Nikon transmitter can trigger a Canon receiver and vice versa as long as they're on the small channel.

Feel free to keep asking questions here and we'll reply as best as we can, and as fast as we can!

    Thanks for the answers!

    I think I made a typo for 1.
Can I use a Canon Transmitter on Nikon body or vice versa? On the basis that I know that my TTL capabilities will be lost of course.

    Regards

    1) Yes, you can use a Canon transmitter on a Nikon body and vice versa, and you're right no more TTL!!
