Any idea on price for the Nikon D3100 UK? Also will the button auto focus? The D3000 Phottix produced did not I believe.

Er sorry there is no "original D3100" grip produced by Nikon, presume you mean the grip you made for the D3000? In which case the button did not autofocus on the grip which is not much cop.

Hi, for you info. the D3000 grip's does have auto focus when u press half shutter. It is shown in the video in this web here.

I should have clarified more, apologies. It's the half press I refer to to make it autofocus but not take a picture if you know what I mean.

Taken from the relevant info on the battery grip..

This does not have the half press for Autofocus but it will autofocus and shoot when the vertical shutter button is pressed.

You're right. there's no original D3100 grip, like thre's no original D3000 grip. The half-press to focus is done through the IR port. The Phottix grip for D3100 should have this function

Ah right, presume it has had to be done with a different method than IR (as the D3100 does not have an IR port) that's good news, many thanks, look forward to it as long as it is a "competitive" price that is

i think there are enough people wanting a 60d grip. since the first grips from china can be found on ebay i'm wondering how long it will take them to come to germany. when it takes a few weeks i'll wait. but otherwise i will buy the grip directly from china what makes you loose a (until now) satisfied customer.

the grip looks exactly the same (in terms of optical hints like on the lower side) as the phottix bp-550d which i also had before. i guess these are the same grips you are going to use and putting a phottix-label on it. the meike-grip for the 550d looked also the same as the phottix one. this wouldn't be a problem for me if that was the case. it's just that buying from china directly makes it 10 bucks more expensive but i can use it way much earlier.
