Take a Bow, Winners of the Canon PhotoMarathon 2010!

Singapore, 23 October 2010 - Today, over 1,700 participants took part in a 12-hour endurance race around Singapore in a bid to capture the winning photographs and be crowned the winners of the yearly photography milestone known as the Canon PhotoMarathon.
A photo competition like no other that tests photographic talent, skill, creativity, endurance and the ability to perform under pressure, the Canon PhotoMarathon challenged the participants to capture photographs according to three assigned themes released throughout the day. The first Canon PhotoMarathon was held in 2003 and drew just 150 participants. Having built a loyal following over the years, this year’s competition has broken a new record with its 1,704 participants!
“It has been an exciting day for Canon and the 1,704 participants. We are heartened to see that more and more people in Singapore are finding their passion and joy in photography, as well as by the years of support that Singapore photographers have shown to the Canon PhotoMarathon,” said Andrew Koh, Director and General Manager, Consumer Imaging and Information Division, Canon Singapore. “The winning works this year demonstrate a new level of skill and artistic capability, and we wish to congratulate the winners.”
A big round of applause to the winners of the Canon PhotoMarathon 2010!
