    Comparison of travel insurance

I wonder if anyone has compiled a list of all the travel insurance for trips for say a few days to a few weeks. Else it's quite troublesome to ring different companies to compare quotes!!

I always found travel insurance unncessary waste of money haha :P

The only time it will be useful is the rare chance you need an air evac or air coffin. The usual things like lost baggage or delayed flights is more or less useless.

It would be quite interesting to find out what is the cost of air evacuation. Case in point - the Hong Kong tourists held hostage in Manila. It got to a situation that the Hong Kong government decided to engage the travel insurer to do air evacuation post-event ASAP, and not waste any time.

    Rare, yes. Possible, yes too!

mpressed, I must say. Really seldom do I see a forum that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your thoughts is important; the issue is something that not a lot of people are talking intelligently about. I’m really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.

quote from this blog " AIR EVAC LIFETEAM with a transport price tag that would make even millionaires pause--I mean, who in their right mind would pay $17,000+ for a 30 minute helicopter ride? No one, of course. "
