The first ever Youth Olympics Games will open at the iconic Marina Bay platform in Singapore on 14 August 2010. Shrouded in secrecy, the opening schedule promises to have a wide array of big acts.

The idea of an Olympics Games for youths was mooted in 2001 by the International Olympics Committee. In 2007, Moscow and Singapore bidded to be the first ever host and Singapore emerged victorious in the bid. In a few days, more than 3000 athletes from more than 170 countires will descend on the island to battle out in their respective sports. On the Opening, 2 billion pairs of eyes are expected to be tuning in onto the opening!!

It was a hot day at the F1 Pit Building, but Red Dot Photo had a great time at the Formula Drift Singapore 2010.

It was a day full of expectations of exciting events and happenings as we entered the event grounds.

Singapore, 25 April 2010 – Tengku Djan Ley from Malaysia was crowned the champion of the Formula DRIFT Singapore 2010 Powered by Nissan for the second consecutive year, after two days of stiff competition which took place right in the heart of the city – the F1 Pit Building. It was a scintillating day of drifting, billowing smoke, revving engines and burning rubber, much to the delight of over 8,000 spectators who expected nothing less.

Singapore, 24 April 2010 - Five thousand five hundred people were treated to spectacular drifting action in the heart of the city centre – the F1 Pit Building, on the first day of the Formula DRIFT Singapore 2010 Powered by Nissan. Forty-two drivers participated in the qualifying round today, with the field cut down to the top 29 drivers who will compete in tomorrow’s main competition.

Sebastian Vettel leads Red Bull Racing to their first victory in the formula 1 season of 2010. Plagued by performances issues of the Adrian Newey-designed car in the last 2 races despite grabbing pole positions. In this third race of the 2010 calender, Mark Webber secured his second pole of his career in a wet and wild qualifying which saw the top teams Mclaren and Ferrari failing to quality for the session one.

Organised by members of the popular online photography forum Clubsnap, the Strobist Outing drew more than 30 participants.
