The highly anticipated day has finally arrived. The Canon 5D Mark 3 will be announced to the world. Featuring 22.3 Megapixel on a full 35mm sensor, native ISO of 25600, 1080p full HD video at ISO12800, 61 AF points, dual CF and SD slots, will this be the worthy successor of the Canon 5D mark II?
Back in September 2008, Vincet Lafore
set the world alight with affordable cinematography with the superb performance of the Canon 5D Mark 2 in shot in full 1080p HD. The Canon 5D Mark 2 has been the best selling camera past DSLRs' usual 18 month product cycle, of which the Canon 5D Mark 2 turned 3 in 2011 with no clear indication of a successor and in 2012, we're finally treated to a marvelous delight! -> The Canon 5D Mark 3!
Featuring a native ISO25600, this is set to go head to head with the Nikon D4
and Nikon D800.
The Canon 5D Mark 3 comes with dual slow of CF and SD, following conventions of the earlier Canon 1D series and 1Ds series.
Other key features to watch out include new buttons, replacing 'info', 'styles', with 'rate' and 'zoom' button. There's also a slight reposition of the Menu and Info button.
Featuring the Digic 5+ sensor, the 22.3megapix CMOS sensor goes natively up to ISO25600, has 61AF points including 41 cross type (Canon 5D Mark 2 has 9 AF points in comparison). Photographers can shoot at 6fps into either CF or SD cards or simultaneously to both!
