    The NEW Nissin Di866 Mark II for Sony!



    The long awaited release of the Di866 for Sony from Nissin will fulfill the needs of Sony Alpha as well as Konica Minolta users.

    The Nissin Di866 Mark 2 for Sony offers a Guide Number of 60 and wireless TTL capabilities. It contains a myriad of functions such as the availability of a sub-flash, a flash output level of 1/1 to 1/128 in manual mode and master & slave capabilities in wireless TTL mode.

    First, we will take a look at the key features of Nissin Di866 Mark II and see how it fairs with its predecessor, Nissin Di866 and with other comparable models such as Sony HVL-F58AM and Metz 58 AF-2.

    Key Features of Nissin Di866 Mark II

    - Color and Auto Rotate Display (Display Screen) are simple and user friendly

    • The Nissin Di866 Mark II comes with a bright, clear and colored display screen.



    • Display: - rotates automatically, following camera angle in different positions
    - six icons on display gives user friendly operation and represents the different modes to choose from – Auto, TTL, Manual/Av, Multi, Wireless TTL (Master/Remote) and Customer Setting.

    - Various Modes – TTL, Manual/Av, Multi Flash

    TTL: Supports Sony P-TTL system.

    Manual: Flash power can be adjusted manually (1/1 - 1/128 power at every 1/3 stops).

    Av priority: The flash can be automatically controlled by the photo sensor integrated in the flash unit instead of TTL metering. The f-stop can be set from F1.4~F16. The distance at the f-stop set on the flash and camera is shown in the display.

    Multi Flash: The power ratio can be set from 1/8 to 1/128.

    - Wireless TTL System



    • The Di866 Wireless TTL system supports the Sony P-TTL system. The Di866 can be used together with Sony flash (such as the HVL-F58AM) as either Master or Remote (Slave).

    • The Di866 also supports digital (pre-flash system) and analogue (film type camera’s flash and/or studio flash under both of Manual and Av. priority mode.

    - Sub-Flash



    • The Di866 provides an extra small flash below the main flash. This small flash gives a fill-in light while bouncing the main flash.

    - Auto Zoom

    • Auto Zoom covers 24~105mm focal range.
    • Light diffusing panel covers wide 18mm (35mm format)

    • A convenient battery magazine provides all four AA-size batteries slot in the same direction, so that the batteries can be correctly and effectively inserted.
