The Finepix X100 was a milestone for Fujifilm; a compact, rangefinder-esque camera with a large APS-C sensor and a fixed focal length fast lens designed specifically to be used with it. The X100 also introduced a revolutionary hybrid viewfinder that offered the best of optical and electronic versions. The result was a camera that enjoyed classic good looks and delivered great performance. For the longest time, photographers who wanted to take their TTL flash triggers off-camera only had a few real options. On one hand, you have Pocket Wizards, the industry standard for wireless flash - rock-solid reliability, great range, and a 'great' price tag of over S$500. On the other hand, you have TTL cords that let you 'tether' your flash - reliable, relatively cheap (typically less than S$100), but with a working range limited to that of the length of the cable. Now we have a new contender: the Phottix Odin. A wireless TTL flash trigger with a feature set to rival Pocket Wizards, the Odins are even compatible with the Phottix Strato II flash triggers, allowing existing Phottix users to expand the capabilities of their setups without retiring older equipment.

For some years now, Sony has watched from the sidelines as Canon and Nikon have duked it out in the high-end APS-C market with the 7D and D7000 respectively. Now, Sony re-enters the ring with a new contender, the Sony Alpha SLT-A77. The only SLT in the high-end APS-C market, it uses an electronic rather than optical viewfinder, and brings to the table a new 24MP sensor, an extremely high-resolution (2.4M dot OLED) viewfinder, a new 19-point AF sensor and, most impressively, 12fps full-resolution shooting.
